What it is
Naseeb Mind is a free Uzbek-language personality questionnaire for school students aged 13-18. It is based on the Big Five model and measures five traits: emotional stability, extraversion, openness to experience, agreeableness and conscientiousness. The student receives a character corresponding to their two highest-scoring traits.
What it is not
It is not a medical or psychological diagnosis. It does not measure ability, intelligence or knowledge, and it does not predict a student’s future success.
Limitations, stated openly
Not yet validated in Uzbek adolescents
The items are adapted from openly available international Big Five inventories, but Naseeb Mind itself has not yet undergone separate psychometric validation in Uzbekistan. Reliability and factor structure for this population are not yet established.
The result can change on retest
Where two traits score closely, the character can change. The test does not hide this: in that case the student is shown the second character as well.
Based on self-report
What is analysed is what the student says about themselves. Mood, haste and the wish to look good all affect the result.
This age is a period of change
Between 13 and 18 personality is still forming. The result is a snapshot of today, not a stable characteristic.
How to run it in a classroom
Tell parents beforehand
Notify parents before the test and share this page with them. Participation must be voluntary.
Ask the student as well
Explain the purpose to the student and tell them they may decline. A test taken under compulsion does not produce trustworthy data.
Use the result to start a conversation
Not "this is what you are" but "what do you make of this?" The result is a prompt for questions, not a verdict.
Please do not do these
Do not sort students into groups
Do not use the character to assign students to classes or streams. The test is not designed for that and is not accurate enough for it.
Do not put the result in a student record
The character should not become part of a student’s official file or reference.
Do not compare results publicly
Comparing results in front of the class, or asking who came out "better", is harmful. No character is better than another.
Do not make it the sole basis for career choice
The result should be weighed alongside interests, opportunities and actual experience.
What happens to the data
After registration, the optional profile step may ask for a name and school details for statistics only. We do not ask for a phone number or date of birth. An account with an email and password is required to continue later and compare results over time.
The student’s responses and scores are linked to the account; they are not anonymous. Each student can read only the data in their own account. Please inform parents before running the test in class.
A separate anonymous research copy without an email or account identifier is kept to improve the test. Account data can be deleted by writing to the address on the Privacy page.
The site uses no advertising or tracking scripts. Account data is sent to Supabase, and the anonymous research copy is sent to a private Google spreadsheet.
